There’s a reason this book earned so many good reviews. This is not your typical “Room” story. I’ve enjoyed the twists and how the plot was written. A certified page turner! Highly recommended and will not be a waste of your time.

A very eerie thriller told in different points of view. I didn't enjoy this as much as I wanted to. I really liked the beginning, but I found myself disengaging a little bit towards the end.

I think I rolled my eyes throughout half of this book.
quick read but I wanted to be done with it about half way through. unlikeable characters, uninteresting writing, and the only surprises for me were how bad Matthias kept getting. I didn’t have anyone to root for other than the children
i could see this being enjoyable for people wanting a fast paced thriller! but for me, I found the writing corny and the tropes/plotlines predictable

Confusing and melodramatic. Unlikable characters. The last chapter saved this book from getting a 1-star rating from me.
