i am SAD that this series is over.
these characters and their journey have found a place in my heart and i know they will stay.
they've been truly a relief and an escape for me during these tough times of lockdown and uncertainty.

however, i will say that i've been thoroughly saddened by the turn of the events and the plot devices of the overall last trilogy. this book especially was painful to accept.

the entire ‘memory wiping’ narrative has been excruciating and unsettling to accept for me. i don't know how to explain why but it felt 'wrong' to me ???

Actual rating: 4.5 stars! I really enjoyed this finale it had the conclusion I was looking for while still having some twists and turns along the way. Of course I adored the Kenji chapters and I love how his friendship with Warner became the slow-burn we all knew it would be. Lastly, I loved how Juliette’s character developed throughout the series, as she grew from this girl who was afraid of her own shadow to a complete bad ass in the end!

i’d say maybe 3.5 stars but that’s mostly because i was confused, i probably should’ve read all the novellas ..anyways juliette being attracted to warners dad was weird but their reunion was great so idk how i feel about this book honestly had a lot of mixed feelings

The end of a very beautiful journey. I will miss this so much I might start reading it again real soon. I'll miss Kenji the most, i loved him to death. Aaron, my dear dear Aaron. Thank you Tahereh for this wonderful wonderful ride ❤️
