Better than the Book took me back to what I absolutely loved about Switch Stance and Ear Candy, in the way that the plot is extremely light-hearted and has some seriously funny, laugh out loud moments. I laughed so hard at a few different moments in Celeste and Hunter's antics and let's just say I will NEVER try ambien.

True to the series, Better than the Book is a fun, light, romantic ride for those who just want to see two people truly start to fall in love, and connect in a real way.

I love this series not only is it for a good cause but Andrea Johnston and M.E Carter bring all the feels and the laughs, their quick action packed rom coms that you can't put down.
I loved learning about Hunter an actor that's super down to earth, you see him struggle with life a bit, but he bounces back.
Celeste a theatre stage manager that write a blog is fun and quirky.
This is a great read that will take your mind off of whatever may be going on around you, the laughs and the heart swoons are just what these amazing authors order ;).

I adore this author combo and this series has been amazing in so many ways, but this book is now my favorite! BTTB gave us lots of romance mixed with some crazy laugh out loud moments and I loved it all!

Celeste - she’s cute and quirky. On a mission to attend that Con year after year despite all the crazy things that come her way. Girl is determined to meet Hunter Stone. I love how real she is - from her crazy curls to her nervousness over meeting her celebrity crush to her secret love of the vampire show to the fact that the job she loves fulfills her but she struggles to make ends meet.

Hunter. *sigh*. Hands down my favorite guy in this series. He’s swoony and a “star”, but in reality he’s just a guy with a truck who calls his mama when life gets complicated and he needs some help navigating thru it!

Celeste & Hunter together - their romance was sweet and they were destined to be, but they were also HILARIOUS!!! I laughed to the point of tears multiple times.

Thank you ladies for putting your all into this series and not only giving us amazing reads, but also supporting great causes!

"Better than the Book" by M.E. Carter and Andrea Johnston was a super cute and laugh-out-loud funny story that featured endearing characters and a delightful romance between stage manager/blogger Celeste Pumperkin and actor Hunter Stone. The two of them had incredible chemistry, and I loved their witty, flirtatious banter.

There were so many moments that made me smile and laugh while I was reading this book, but my favorites were when Hunter confused Ambien for Tylenol and Celeste's assorted struggles to get to the fan convention for Hunter's TV show. I also laughed every time someone messed up Celeste's last name. To be fair, it was quite unusual, and even Hunter ended up just calling her "Celeste Pumper-whatever" after a while.

This was the first book I've read in the Charitable Endeavors series, but I enjoyed meeting Carrie and Matthew from "Model Behavior" here, and their story sounds like it was just as much fun as Hunter and Celeste's. I will definitely be going back to read that one.

Overall, I really enjoyed "Better than the Book" and recommend it for all fans of contemporary romantic comedy. I look forward to checking out the other books in this series.

I love this series so much, every book is unique, but the characters always tie together some how. It is so much fun how the title eventually reveals itself in the book as well. I don't want to give it away for someone who wants to read/listen to this, but you will know it when you see/hear it. It took years for Celeste to get to her convention due to things happening the previous two years to get her there, but when she finally does, she meets the actor of her dreams. Hunter finds what he really loves about what he does again by meeting Celeste. If you have already started this series, you need to keep going, each book makes my heart smile.

I absolutely love the Charitable Endeavors series. They are quick, light hearted, fun rom-coms. Celeste and Hunter's story will make you laugh, tear up, and swoon. You go through so many emotions. The characters are very relatable, in fact I found myself saying "Oh that is exactly what would happen to me," she has the same horrible luck I do. I loved this book. I highly recommend this whole series.
