My iPad just melted with this book.

I didn't think that anything could be hotter than the first book. I was wrong. SO. VERY. WRONG. I am quite sure that my iPad was smoking. So often a book with a with a storyline such as this comes off as cheesy or is just a quick read without substance behind it. That is most assuredly not the case with either of these books. This author crafts her characters with such precision that you can see everything they see as if it was your very own eyes. and feel their emotions, can read their thoughts, even hear their voices.

You have to read the first book. Otherwise, you will miss the dynamic that is Diana, Ian, and Brendan. This author can write some steam. Sweet Holy Titfire, can she ever. I kept looking around me to make sure others couldn't see what I was reading. After a while, I just didn't care. My fanning myself and blushing probably gave me away anyway... (And yes, this author made me blush!!!) Just prepare yourself for a wild and crazy ride. Oh, and be prepared to need a cold shower.

I'm needing to see Brendan and his story. Please let it include a certain roommate that hates him. Pretty pretty, please? It's mentioned that it will be short. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's more than that. Especially since this book was supposed to only be a novella and it turned into two glorious books.

Wow

What a intense emotional ride. This story made me laughing and having my heart hurt. Their is some much love and friendship. The trust was shown and the sec was very steamy. The end amazing and I hope more story's will be written for the twins and Diane.

The Girl in Between is the sequel to The Boys Next Door. This book focus more on the feelings, the relationship dynamics and the future resulting from the event in book 1.
Diana decides to take the next step and have a relationship with Ian while maintaining a friendship with Brendan.
I can’t wait for Brendan’s story!

TW/tropes

This really was a unique menage, and I respect that. The steamy scenes were insane, but, I can't believe I'm about to say this, there were far too many. I would have liked more plot

3.5⭐️ This sequel felt a little more plot heavy but not much. I really thought we’d get more about Brendan… That being said, it was still a fun read. I did enjoy the additions of Diana’s roommate, Sophie. She was quite interesting. I’m sure a book about her would be good - like why does she stay out until 4am??? Very mysterious. And even she sensed that Brendan was hiding something. Ian was so good for Diana. He was kind and understanding. Of course Diana was good for him. He drank less and studied more. I do wish the good twin/bad twin had more depth or resolution. It felt unresolved even as they got older.

DNF.. I really liked the first book, but I couldn’t get through this one. Maybe I’m just in a reading slump, but I just could not read farther than 100 pages
