It pains ms so much to shelve Miss Towle's book under DNF. I read so many good reviews about Mighty Storm. The story of 2 childhood friends in the storm of rock and roll.
I am shocked to listen only about 8th hours of the audiobook. Everything is just a disaster storm more like it. My biggest problem is with Tru, the heroine. She is so wishy washy about her feeling toward Jake and Will. She feeled guilty for Will but she consented having sex with Jake. She frustrates me so much that I want to bitch slap her.
Jake is also weak hero. He has no back bone at all. He agrees to Tru needy, childish,selfish demands then throws a tantrum when Tru playing hard to get. I can not feel their attraction toward another since the POV is done from Tru.
Those making this book too difficult to read.

Wowzers!! Jake and Tru!!! What a match made in mighty heaven. This was a great story of childhood best friends reunited 12 years later one is a rockstar the other a music journalist. I love the passion that Jake had for Tru, I loved his irrational behavior, I loved his attitude, I just loved everything of Jake (Yummy). Tru was a great female lead. Of course she had her annoying parts but I am pretty sure every female will act the way she did at time, so I loved Tru. On to book 2!!!!

I loved this book, it reminded me A LOT of [b:Thoughtless|13517535|Thoughtless (Thoughtless, #1)|S.C. Stephens|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1331254339s/13517535.jpg|14321512], but I still really enjoyed it!!
75% in I was ready for it to end, didnt really see what else could happen after the big climax with Will... but DAMN I'm glad it didnt !!! Even though I found the last 100 or so pages very frustrating, they were soooo worth it !!!
I really like Jake, Tru however I'm a bit 'iffy' about... I hated her 'I dont know' and 'I think' every 5 seconds when thinking bout her feeling for Jake and Will.. MAKE UP YOUR MIND WOMEN !!! But I guess I might be a bit biased on the whole Will or Jake think (Jake all the way!!!)
I cant wait to read the next book !!! Specially since I believe its written in Jake's POV.. I love a boy's POV !!!

Jake was Tru's boy next door, but when his family moved to America she never heard from him again. It is twelve years later, Jake is a rockstar, Tru is a budding music journalist. Both are still harboring feelings for each other.
This book was an unfortunate copy of Fifty Shades of Grey. While the details weren't the same, the basic feel of the book was similar to Fifty Shades. The writing wasn't poor and the characters were annoying. I wanted to throw something at both of the main character's heads. God their overly dramatic reactions to everything was so overplayed. I was not a fan.

2.5 stars. The extra .5 is for Tru. Because she is actually a pretty decent character (except when she cheated. That was a big NO.). I don't have any love for Jake bcoz he's irrational and selfish, and honestly, I wished Tru stayed with Will.
