It’s been awhile since I’ve purchased a picture book, but I adore @desmondisamazing and knew I wanted to added it to my ever-growing collection of queer picture books. Desmond provides a great introduction to the queer community. The best part is the illustrations by @dylanglynn.mov – totally killer! Own Voices.

The text is very hopeful and caring, and then they pair so nicely with the gorgeous illustrations. They’re so lively and dynamic, and so colorful.
A little wordy for casual little kid reading.

What a wonderful book. It is a little long for the littles I get in storytime, but this would be fantastic in an elementary age classroom! Beautiful illustrations!
