i got lost in their love

Omg I wasn’t expecting this whirlwind of a story. I felt all the feels. The slow burn. The reverse harem . The emotions. The drama. BB Reid you have done it for me ma’am. I am officially about to get lost in your bibliography.

Its a story about 3 guys and one girl who get together and bang each other. They are in a band together.
Loooveed it.
I wanted well written spice with still some reasonable plot and I got it.
The spice was immaculate and a loved that the guys were interlinked with each other and the girl wasn't the only one being done. Ahhh.its great.
I read a couple of scenes multiple times because tge spice was TAHT good.
I got horny from reading this book so yeah .

This book pleasantly surprised me. I did not think I would enjoy it as much as I have. But I adored this book and it's characters. I'm a sucker for enemies to lovers and found family and this was every and more.

I hadn't read B.B. Reid before, but I will absolutely be making my way through her booklist after reading Lilac.

I loved Braxton from the jump. She is sassy, strong-willed, demanded respect, and refused to allow anyone make her feel inferior. Houston is the staunch leader. Loren is the charismatic flirt. Jericho (aka Rich) is the kind, quiet soul harboring a secret.

I'm a sucker for good witty banter and this book delivered. Braxton and the guys had no shortage of snarky comments thrown at each other, both when they hated each other and as their relationships developed.

This why-choose romance wasn't just about the romance or the music. It told a story of mending broken relationships, self-discovery, and embracing the family around you even if they aren't your family by blood. Each character has been broken in some way and had to go on the path to healing, both for themselves and for the sake of those they love.

B.B. Reid did a wonderful job of getting the reader to know each character and building the one-on-one relationships instead of jumping right into a group relationship, which none of them had ever done before. Too often I feel like why-choose books portray characters dividing to hop right into a group relationship, even when the characters have never experienced that dynamic before. Truly well done, B.B. Reid.

This book is long, but I still found myself hoping for more of Braxton, Houston, Loren and Jericho.

Tropes: enemies-to-lovers, why-choose/reverse harem, rockstar romance, found family

I didn’t enjoy this book at all. The plot was promising but around halfway through, it felt like it kept repeating itself with the same relationship drama. The climax of the story felt like it was added in as an afterthought with no real buildup of events. The guys were downright rude for half of the book and then they were worshipping her for the other half. It just didn’t make any sense to me.

So bad I quit reading with 70 or so pages left. It started out fine, but for a book I was reading only for the smut, the spicy scenes were too few and far between. The plot was the same thing over and over again; reading boys fighting eachother and chasing after the same girl who keeps running away is not entertaining to me. I didn’t fluke Braxton, she is always problematic and I don’t like a single decision she made. The guys aren’t great either. They’re either really fucked up, narcissistic, or boring. Also didn’t love the conservative undertones of this book… they weren’t awful they just rubbed me the wrong way sometimes. I wish I could give this book 0 stars.
