I'm honestly not sure how I felt about this book. I think I really enjoyed it, but it's the type of story that you really have to sit on for a little while to process. Definitely best to go in blind and not know anything about the plot!

Thoughts after literally just finishing the book: I'm confused but good confused and I cannot wait to go into a reddit bunny rabbit hole.

There's a lot of ways to interpret this book and
while I can see that Samantha is not the most ✨mentally sound✨ I also want to believe the possibility that bunnies were actually turned into boys and Samantha had the power to make a swan friend and stag guy and I really want Jonah to be real damnit.
I want the magical realism aspect to not just be in Samantha's head so as far as I'm concerned both her mental state and witchyness exist in this book but maybe I'm delusional lol.

I do wish there were more about the bunny's and Samantha with the bunny's because that was the most interesting part to me. But I still enjoyed the read.

It is initially confusing but not nearly as confusing as the likes of booktok would suggest
after the boy's head exploded I think the wtf-factor lessened

This book was “not for me.” But could be a good read for someone who likes horror, the most unreliable narrator I’ve ever encountered and if you enjoy being completely unsure what the hell you just read.

Are you ever so lonely and gay and repressed (specially repressed) that you
invent the woman of your dreams, not knowing it's your soulmate until it's too late? That you invent a man that's just a reflectionof yourself but who can freely love said woman, and can be freely be loved by the clique of girls you so desperately love/hate and who also desperately loves and hates you and wants to be acknowledged by you?

Incredible read, was really wondering where it was leading up to and once all the pieces started to fall into place it was just so good.

It's definitely a surreal piece but not as incomprehensible as some reviews might make you believe. Will probably revisit it sometime in the future.

This book was very surreal! It took me a few chapters to get into it but once I was in, I was hooked. The relationships in the book are so complex, as are the characters - a lot of them were ‘love-to-hate’ characters which I enjoy. I’m not sure exactly what happened near the end, but as the whole book was very surreal I didn’t mind the ambiguity - it made sense.
