Ashley Poston has quickly become a "don't question just read it" author for me. I loved Dead Romantics and was shocked that I think I liked The Seven Year Slip even more. If you take away the fantasy element the plot was nothing too crazy but was well written and developed, and with the fantasy it added that little extra something. The characters were all delightful and well thought out without feeling like I had to sit through an entire encyclopedia about them.
If someone wants to get into fantasy I think Poston's books would be a great way to do it too. Just genuinely a very well done book, if readers aren't into heavy smut romances this is a great option. And just a heads up there are mentions of suicide, but nothing graphic.

This was a fantastic read. It was a great love story of two people trying to figure out what they want while their life is changing. The time travel was a fun twist that allowed for the exploration of personal development and how people can change and stay the same as they grow.

Death of a loved one was central to this book. Please be cautious if discussions of suicide are triggering for you.

still have tears in my eyes as i write this! it took me by surprise how much i loved this book. it’s a story about finding each other and leaving and coming back together; a story about finding yourself. i love the “invisible string” vibe it has. i loved how the author described what it’s like to be in love, and how loving someone means loving every version of them. it made me think of olivia so much.

clementine and iwan had such excellent chemistry. the magical realism/time travel bit was well executed and soooooo heart wrenching and heart melting at the same time. gosh i loved this
