Love this premise! I have not read another book like this. The characters are such a mixed bag, everyone is very individual. The story is gripping, and entertaining, and I could not put it down. It was such a great story that really let the author show her creative voice. I can totally get behind that. Told in 1st person pov.

Writing style and tone is meh. Read some spoilers on Reddit and don’t think it’s for me

Awesome story

I came across this on a Facebook ad, I usually ignore them. The blurb for the book was somewhat interesting, I thought I'll give it a few chapters, but I almost read it all in one night, I had to sleep. The book itself was much better than the synopsis. Reminded me a little of I am number 4, which I loved. I have already downloaded the next 2 books.

1/5 🌶️

**Tropes**
- She has unknown powers/strengths
-Found family
-Why choose
-University
-Some age gaps

📖 **My Thoughts**
Loved the beginning of this story, lost me a but at the end. She's got a very mysterious back story and the build up to her meeting the MMCs worked really well for me. As the story went on, I got a bit frustrated that the mysteries weren't really solved despite some characters being able to solve them/being in the know. The romance wasn't insta-love and had a medium build. I liked her coming into her powers. I like that she wasn't a 'not like other girls' but had some good female friendships. I will read the next story, I will be annoyed if some things aren't explained.

⚠️ **Triggers**
-Violence
-Discrimination
-Death of a family member
-Mentions of deaths

<:0_flag_progress_pride:1077471157575491594> **Representation**
Nope

🌶️ **Spice**
Not much spice in this story, eludes to more spice in next. There was a scene were spice was completely consensual but one character was using it against FMC (mild).

DNF. Absolutely not.

i really wanted to like this story and honestly i’m only about 25 percent into it and i did. the backstory seemed pretty interesting but i couldn’t do it.

Why you may ask…

how do i say for once i want to read a rh with no manwhores. i’m not even halfway into the book and we already know Ethan (or Kid) is a manwhore. He doesn’t have a gf but he fucks around and then dumps. That’s all he does. I’m not sure about the other harem members because i didn’t meet them yet but knowing this rh already has 2 manwhores is just a no, no for me. i read other reviews and one thing has made itself clear. Alec is terrible. I’m pretty sure every rh has a guy who hates the heroine at first and im okay with that, but what im not okay with is fucking other people after you meet the heroine and flaunting sex with another women in her face. this is absolutely disgusting. keep in mind the guys are literally destined to be with the heroine and I believe they know this, however Alec does cheat on her (i'm calling it that since i believe it kind of is) with Dana after the heroine HAS ALREADY MET HIM and Dana the girl who the heroine tries to befriend in the third book. WTF.

Also, beginning of the third book, Alec is refusing to have sex with the heroine. I mean hey, that's fine but what i have a problem with is the fact Alec continued to have sex with other women after he already knew he was destined to be with the heroine and has already met her. so somehow when the heroine tries to have sex with him he says no even though he's literally been sleeping with other girls after they met. this makes no sense to me. So basically the heroine is pushing Alec to have a sexual relationship with her which is just one out of the many of the heroines problems.

After reading more reviews and quotes from the books i'm still at a lost. people are saying they can genuinely see how much Alec cares for the heroine and how much he loves her. If he did then why the actual fuck was he flaunting having sex with another woman in the heroine's face.

also (this isn’t a big deal to me but i know for some other people it’s a deal breaker) the heroine has had a reputation with men and was in a serious relationship. after her mom found out she didn’t say goodbye to him before they left. she ended up changing her last name to his last name. she gave him a lot of first and he is not one of the harem members.

if anyone actually knows of an rh that doesn’t have manwhores (i would prefer if all the guys were virgins) please let me know bc at this point it’s utterly ridiculous.
