I was honestly not prepared for how much I was going to fall in love with this story. The twists and turns, the magic of it all, the realm of Tomorrow- it’s everything I could have hoped for and then some. By the time I finished my heart was aching and I don’t know how I’m going to cope until the next book comes out. I finished this book quickly, I couldn’t help by devour it once I started getting to know the characters. Kastian is by far my favorite and I can’t wait to read more of him.

My only critique would be the beginning of the book (the first few chapters) felt a little choppy. I felt there could have been an easier transition and more details given when we first met Elodie and Wren. It felt really rushed. I understood by the end of the book possibly why things may have been left out because of the flash back chapter. Overall, fantastic read. I’m so happy that I bought an actual copy of the book for my shelf. I know I’ll be rereading it again in the future.

Loved it!!!!

"A God of Wrath and Lies" by K.M. Moronova is an enthralling journey into a world where myth and reality blend seamlessly. Moronova's masterful storytelling keeps you hooked from the very first page, weaving a tale filled with intricate characters, unexpected twists, and a plot that keeps you guessing until the end. The world-building is exceptional, with rich descriptions that make you feel as if you are right there, experiencing every moment alongside the characters.

This book is not just a fantasy novel; it’s a profound exploration of human emotions and the consequences of our choices. "A God of Wrath and Lies" is a must-read for anyone who loves a well-crafted story that challenges the boundaries of imagination. I highly recommend it to fans of epic fantasy and those looking for a thought-provoking read.

If character development whiplash is your vibe, this is the book for you. I've come to the conclusion they are all the bad guy and deserve this.

I'm not sure where to start with this book, it was absolutely beautiful and heart breaking. I love the World building and while it is a bit slow, it's still captivating early on.

Elodie is such a beautiful but lost soul and if you're not prepared to have your heart ripped out then I wouldn't recommend this. But, honestly? Even if you don't like your heart ripped out, you should probably suck it up and read it anyways. K.M's writing is just something else, the characters are something else, and the World.

Tropes: Enemies to lovers, one bed, love triangle?, forced proximity
Spice: 2/5 but, I have hopes it'll get more spicy as the series progresses

Other things: Reincarnation, Gods/Goddesses, Afterlife, Soul Mates?

**SPOILERS**
Do not talk to me.

It's going to be like..10 years before I can process that ending.

The absolute gut wrenching I felt. I haven't felt that in a while, so bravo I guess? I'm not sure if I should be mad or happy to be honest. I'm itching for the 2nd book because I HAVE to know what happens and while I have hope that Arulius will redeem himself in the next book - at least I hope so because I do not want to hate this man, I am still worried he will actually just be evil.

I'm not sure if this is meant to be a reverse harem, love triangle/square? or what so I'm interested to see how Elodie's relationship develops in the next books. I have such a love/hate relationship with Wren and hope that we can find out more about why he is the way he is, he truly seems like he means well but, has something dark in him.

And I absolutely ADORE Kastian, my sweet boy. I hope she finds her way to him if it's not going to be a reverse harem.

And I know the next book talks about yet another guy, so if it's not reverse harem..I might die inside for my baby Kastian lmao.

DNF at 43%

There is not a single brain cell in any of these characters.

None of their motivates were explained, the world building was very rocky, and all the decisions the characters were making felt strange, with no thoughts behind them. I feel like this is a good read if you want something messy and dark. Not really caring for the plot. But it not what I’m looking for at the moment.

Nothing could convince me to read book two. I had such a bad time. Half the time, I didn't know what was going on. The fated mates played out so weirdly in this book. The only male character I semi liked got unalived towards the end of this. This just wasn't the book for me.
