A riveting read, and my first ever James Patterson novel! Faced-paced, ingenious, and a genuine page-turner. There is depth to the believable characters, and one becomes quickly immersed in their world, woes, worries - and triumphs. I am already hooked on the Women's Murder Club quartet and am eagerly searching out their next challenging adventure. Still to be explored fully - the world of Alex Cross! Yep, I'm now an official James Patterson fan! (The edition of the book I read was ISBN 0-7472-6690-5, but the above is close!).

I’m not sure why I read these books out of order, but I did! They each stand alone you don’t need to read them in order. This one was probably the best of the three in the series. I like the suspense and the great ending in the epilogue.

This book sucked. I actually like Janet Evanovich's series on Stephanie Plum. At least that character is interesting. This is the first is an ongoing series about women who come together to discuss murders, and eventually their club solves them. The group includes a detective, medical examiner, reporter, and a D.A. There is nothing unique about any of the premises, Patterson uses the same inconsistent story lines to throw the reader off of who is the really killer, without checking if they make sense. It was about a series of honeymoon murders, because the detective is a woman, get it? Yeah really complex. I might give him another shot, maybe an Alex Cross, but I really feel at a disadvantage reading the first in these series, because I feel like he can get into a groove once all the characters have been established, not that I will bother finding out.

As a big fan of crime thrillers, I was recommended to read "1st to Die" by James Patterson. Right from the start, I was hooked by the intense plot and large cast of characters.

From the very first page, I found myself immersed in the dark and twisted world of the serial killer preying on newlywed couples in San Francisco. Every twist and turn left me on the edge of my seat, eager to uncover the next clue alongside the Inspector.

Patterson's writing style is fast-paced and to the point, which kept me fully engaged throughout the entire novel. The balance between action, investigation, and the characters' personal lives was just right, making the story feel grounded and relatable.

Quick read, but nothing earth-shaking.
