I enjoyed this story - and understand how the stresses of life can affect a marriage and family. However, once again, the main character, Alice, should have been a bit stronger. Alice wanted to please everyone and a few moments of her standing up for herself would have made me like her more. She wasn't unlikable, she was just not strong enough - always bending to the will of others, letting herself get caught up in an online "relationship" and going above and beyond to be politically correct.

It would have been *great* if she didn't throw away Mrs. Norman's stash but went on a binge. She should have handled that entire relationship differently by actually doing something to make Mrs. Norman her adversary.

All-in-all, it was enjoyable.

I was really surprised by this book. Since it wasn't in the usual genre that I read, I thought I would lose interest quickly, but it hooked me in and kept my attention all the way through. It was witty and the format was quirky and interesting.

I really liked it at the beginning, then it got quite tedious reading all the myriad ways that Gideon wrote each chapter, Facebook, email, etc. Then I liked it better at the end--I knew where it was going right along, but I thought it was a pretty good resolution.

At first I wasn't certain if I would like this book but then I realized I had much in common with Alice. Like Alice, I lost my mother at. 15 and I understood all of her emotions and thoughts related to that event. Especially the part of outliving your dead parent. Wish there was a mumbles bumbles locally :) the story was quite clever and captured my attention after a few pages and then I couldn't put it down. I thought the author captured the dangers of the internet pretty well (the daughter) as well as stressing the importance of staying connected with those you care about, most importantly your spouse! Hope her next book is as entertaining.

Wife 22 was a pretty good read. It asked realistic questions of life and marriage. Too bad the main character, Alice Buckle wasn't the most likeable main character. Alice and her husband William are at an? Impasse? In their marriage. They have been married at the books start for about 20? Years. 2 kids and an obnoxious dog later, they've forgotten all the reasons they fell for each other. Alice starts an online in depth questionnaire/survey and we learn little by little how their relationship began. It ends cute and, I must say kept me interested. What annoyed me were Alice's constant rebuttals of her husbands attempts to be close to her and or romantic with her. How can you complain about him when you are making things worse?? There are other side plots about their kids, friends, jobs etc. I would read another book by this author.
