Leuk vervolg; naar mijn idee iets beter dan deel 1.

Gelukkig wat minder van Shannons bijgedachten, die deel 1 wat onrustig maakten om te lezen.

This is such a fun book! I had read Divine by Mistake and had always wanted to come back and read this follow-up.
It was like a time capsule, recalling movies, TV shows, and cultural events of the time that Shannon lived in Broken Arrow. And then, when reading about her time in Parthelon, a fabricated fantasy land, P.C. Cast made it more relatable by including familiar Greek mythology.
Shannon's sassy way of talking could be construed as a caricature, but what she said was endearingly self-deprecating. I was "in her head" along with her, which is always a great way to be on the side of a book's protagonist.
I felt guilty pleasure reading the sex scenes, and necessarily plowed through the descriptions of evil acts by the villains.
I lapped up the text as it pushed me along. I was willing to accept the incredible premises. Hey, why not?

Ugh another prolife story masquerading as a feminist fantasy book. Don't waste your time on this.

Wasn't as good as I remembered; either that or I wasn't in the right mood to read it.

In Divine by Mistake, Shannon is brought across to take the role of Goddess Incarnate while the woman she replaced is set free on Earth. This time, she's thrust back at Earth and has to fight to return back to her life as a Goddess. I loved how the book blended the fantasy elements with the contemporary ones, and found that this was a really fun book, though I did enjoy Divine by Mistake more.

Love, Love, Love! This book gave me exactly what I wanted in it. I was so curious through the first book about what was going on back in Oklahoma and what Rhiannon was doing. It was nothing like I thought it would be but, in the best way. the only complain was the cheating! it didn't put anything toward the story, it just made me dislike Shannon. it was hella tacky.

A nice sequel to a book that I feel didn't really need a sequel. I enjoyed it nonetheless.
