Couldn’t finish. The kid was given a kitten  and I had a bad feeling…  looked it up kitten is brutally tortured and killed. This book was interesting, and I had fully intended to finish, but I’m not playing around with animal torture/death. It’s the one thing I can’t handle.

This author did an AMAZING job of everything.
The relationship between Hannah and Christopher. So pristine and shiny only to become tarnished and stretched by parenthood, reality.
Janie's issues as a result of abuse- the manipulation, behavior, doctors.
Christopher's utter rejection of Hannah's reality, the truth of Janie's behavior.
Piper - the social worker just trying to save a child, help a family cope.
What brutal writing. Well done!
