this book just didn’t do it for me. i found myself annoyed by the characters way more than entertained.
cason just wasn’t that guy to me. you’re telling me you’ve been in love with your best friend all those years and never made a move but as soon as you find out she’s never had a man induced orgasm it was time to make a move?! how much do you really love that woman if that’s what you needed to hear to finally confess your feelings for her. men are so dense and self involved sometimes, even fictional men.
i felt like cason was so pushy when it came to being in a relationship with jameelah. it was like because he was ready to be in a relationship he expected jameelah to just throw caution to the wind and be with him. like my guy, you was just hunching your baby mama a couple months ago, jameelah’s reservations were very valid. especially because his baby mama started causing drama before the relationship was really off the damn ground.
mind you, this was supposed to be an erotica. they spent so much time of dealing with exes and ish i forgot they were supposed to be hunching.

Plot started off promising and the spice was fairly decent but the MMC reads like a Tyler perry hero and was kinda overbearing and hard to root for. The fmc constantly going back and forth with her own feelings got redundant after awhile and the addition of the 3rd act breakup didn’t help either. Also the secondary relationship in the story was a mess and the emphasis placed on Jem being unsure of transition her role in Cayson’s life just for there to be no scenes of them interacting following the shift was kind of unnecessary
