This was amazing! I enjoyed reading this so much. I don't like second chances romances , I don't actively look for them but this was really good. For some reason I pictured this book taking place in the early 2000s because that's what it reminded me of lol.  I loved the way the past timeline of Kennedy and Jonathan's relationship was told. I thought that was a really unique way of showing the past timeline. It wasn't boring at all which I loved. I loved all of the characters. Their daughter Maddie was so adorable and actually written as a child which was great because some authors write five year olds who talk like they're 45.

I also really liked the second chance aspect in this book. The reason why they broke up was very valid which is another reason why I think I enjoyed reading this so much because the number one reason why I hate second chance romances is because most of the time the reason why the characters broke up in the first place is so stupid. I liked the reconnection between them. Overall this was a really great read and I'd highly recommend.

Daaang that was good. I listened on audio, which was just perfection. Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell are a dream team of stellar performers. But the STORY?! So good!! It’s a second-chance romance featuring a single mom and the child’s dad. I loved the redemption storyline. Like, the dude majorly messed up when they were younger and it’s a tough story to listen to/read about, but the payoff is worth it.

Brief synopsis (I don’t think these are spoilers?): famous actor reconnects with ex and their daughter after recovering from a few years of addiction and being waaaay too deep in the Hollywood drug/party/constantly working scene. It’s cute, some spice, and definitely an HEA.

I really liked this book. From my reading history you can tell I don’t read a lot of second chance romance but I enjoyed this one. I loved his redemption and how it wasn’t solely focused on her but also in their child. I will say I do wish Kennedy was kinder to his recovery but honestly I don’t blame her with all she went through and gave up for him.

This was a well written second chance romance. Their past was sad, but their love for each other was beautiful. I love both of the characters and their growth throughout the story. I highly recommend this book.
