Elias hates Christmas. Which, of course, is the beginning of a story of growth and redemption. How the Grump Saved Christmas is something of a reimagining of Dickens' Christmas Carol, complete with a character who plays Tiny Tim. Elias's nickname for the heroine, Isabelle, is even Belle, the name of Scrooge's fiancée. It's a heartwarming book.

More like 2.5 stars. It was cute enough, but it just fell flat for me. Felt like it was too long and some parts of the plot were pointless. But overall it was still a cute, Christmas themed read

i liked this book. it was captivating to read. i read a lot of it at a time. but it felt very empty, there was things going on but at the same time none of it seemed very !!!! i also think there was huge random ass dramas like her dad or the kid going missing that had nothing to do with anything that was given more time than the fact he whole ass left her after she lost the baby. overall i enjoyed the read but it had cringey writing, drama with no means, and a lack of true feelings other than grumpiness, and instantly in love. not bad but wont revisit. the ending was very cute though, glad they were able to have a family together. probably wont read another from them.

This has to be the cutest Christmas read I’ve read so far.

Elias went from major Scrooge to the merriest of men.

One of my favorite holiday reads so far!

As seen on my blog (Jessie's Reading Corner):
If you have not read this story already and are looking for a holiday romance story to read this season, I strongly consider you add this to your TBR!

Isabelle Cook and Elias Stoneheart were childhood sweethearts until they weren’t. Now Elias is back in Tilikum to try and get Isabelle and her family to sell their farm to his company so he can secure a long-awaited promotion. Will Isabelle and the town of Tilikum be able to convince him that there’s more to life than just work?

I really loved Isabelle and Elias’s story! It was a very cute and heartwarming holiday story! I also loved the additional love story we sort of got with Alice and Cole, and Alice’s daughter Maddie, and I loved how Claire used these characters (and more) to help guide Elias in his journey to discovering what the true spirit of Christmas is.

I really enjoyed listening to Samantha Brentmoor and Stephen Dexter narrate this story! I absolutely loved Stephen though, especially when he would take on the voice of Maddie (be still my heart!) If you have are looking for a great holiday story to listen to, I highly recommend this one!

If you’ve read Claire’s Bailey Brothers series then you may have seen parts of this story play out in Levi and Annika’s book in Rewriting the Stars as Isabelle is one of Annika’s best friends. No, you don’t need to read that book in order to understand this book as they are separate stories, but some of the events that happen in Rewriting the Stars overlap in this one. I will say, if you have never read the Bailey Brothers series, I highly recommend you read it because it is phenomenal! You can expect: sizzling love stories, a hilarious but sometimes contentious family feud between the Baileys and Havens that usually revolve around pranks, ornery squirrels that can be trained to cause mayhem, and a small town that you will fall in love with and want to move to!

Do you love cheesy Hallmark/lifetime Christmas movies? If so this book is 100% for you.

Is it clear from the get go that the grumpy Grinch MMC is going save the Christmas tree farm he was sent to close down? YES. Does that matter? Nope.

This book is Christmas cosiness wrapped up in delicious pages.

It's 2nd chance love, Grinch x Christmas sunshine.

There's some wonderful side characters and a really nice development of the MMC who deals with some of his childhood trauma.

All round feel good Christmas book
