A middling pop sci book with decent exposition and lots of interesting examples. Would've improved with a discussion about the foundations of psychology and the techniques to study it rather than just a collection of phenomena.

One of the best books to know about own-self. Who we are. What we are and Why we are.

The only problem I had with this book was it was too small and too less. I wanted more and more. Now I am looking for book on The Brain.

Exciting journey exploring, among other things, the concepts of self, reality and decision making, from a high-level neuroscientific perspective.

Feels a bit like a school textbook in both its layout and the way it addresses the reader - not in itself a bad thing when you're trying to learn something new. There were lots of interesting facts and studies referenced, though I was left feeling like I wanted to know a lot more about the brain. Having said that, the book functions well as a non-threatening introduction to neuroscience.

This is a fast, down-to-earth read about a complex topic. Eagleman, who is a neuroscientist, has a way of writing that is engaging, and includes simple examples and illustrations of experiments that anyone can understand. It's not easy undertaking to grab something as complex as neuroscience and turn it into a digestible read for the masses. While it stays at the surface, this is a great introductory book for anyone interested in dipping a toe in the water on this topic.
