This book follows Rosie Graham, Lina's best friend from the Spanish Love Deception, and Logan Martin, Lina's cousin. The two became roommates and went on experimental dates to help Rosie get her spark for writing her book.

The book was fun and wholesome. You can see how Rosie and Logan's friendship started and how it slowly morphs into love, although Rosie did harbor a tiny crush on Logan. One I love most was how Rosie and Logan fall into a routine where he cooks dinner for both every night and they will watch their favorite show before bed. Logan was also wonderful at planning the experimental dates which had me falling hard for him.

However, I was confused about the plot towards the ending. I didn't have a connection or understanding as to why Logan acted the way he did; why he went through so much torment only to be enlightened by a book. It just wasn't adding up to me. It was confusing. And because of that, I didn't give it a high rating.

I enjoyed the book nonetheless and had small snippets of Lina and Aaron throughout the book. Logan being a dear throughout the book was wholesome to watch as well. Just wished the plot was better written towards the ending for me.

Absolutely shite, I can’t for the life of me see how it’s got a community rating of 4 stars.

TARE was my most anticipated book of the year and miss Elena Armas does not miss. I found some of the passages to be cringey and gave me secondhand embarrassment. However, I did read this in 2 days and I am obsessed with Rosie and Lucas

First things first there is NO reason for Lucas to have been a surfer for any reason. The way he is written even if you wanted to pretend that cooking wasn't his passion then he fit way more as any other career. This dude did not talk nor acted like he cared about surfing at all.

Second of all again it did not feel like Rosie was the writer here. It did not feel like it was Rosie talking when it came to writing it felt like Elena. Elena Armas is such a bland writer to begin with but I have never read a book where I physically FELT the author in the story more than the characters. Everytime Rosie went into it about writing it just felt like you were hearing Elena Armas' voice going on and on about hard it was to write this book especially on the deadline.

I had a fun time and I actually liked the romance which feels like a fluke. I am convinced I only enjoyed the romance so much because I am sick and needed something not to have to think too deeply about. Overall, anything good I could say would not have been enough to save this story.I am absolutely convinced Elena Armas was just pressured to write a book at a professional pace, couldn't cope, threw this up and hoped everyone wouldn't notice.
