First Lady and president absolutely used Kent. It was gross.

An interesting read about the development of a poly relationship between the president, first lady, and his best friend in an effort to release the stress and pressure of the office. The first lead into realizing that a BDSM relationship was a bit overdue but was okay after that.

I loved this audiobook. Lauren Gallagher gave me the MMF book I’ve been dreaming about. Long enough to give each individual their own back story, each pairing their own significant relationship, create a cohesive triad, and still leave room for plenty of steamy scenes. There are MF, MM, & MMF scenes.

This is best enjoyed when the exploration of the relationship means as much (if not more) to the listener than the sex or how kinky it can get. I’ll admit that there are parts about the set-up in regards to how the White House or Secret Service operates that seem highly unlikely, but I enjoyed the totality so much that it wouldn’t keep me from listening to it over and over again.

One of the unique aspects of this is that Carlene and Kent don’t actually get along at the beginning and Gallagher spends a lot of time bringing them to a begrudging understanding and then to an affinity of their own. James struggles to balance his own needs with theirs while ultimately understanding and embracing his desire to submit.

Aiden Snow is terrific here. He does a great job of differentiating all the voices – especially Kent & James, which is really nice when they each have so much dialogue. Listening to him for 11 hours is no chore at all.

Note: At the time of this review (August 2020), the ebook is available for $4.99 or to borrow via Kindle Unlimited and it's only $2.99 to add the audio.

I just finished "Kneel Mr. President" by Lauren Gallagher, narrated by the amazing Aidan Snow. Despite some initial struggles with the repetitive first part, I stayed hooked, mainly thanks to Snow's fantastic narration. The story revolves around Kent, a Secret Service agent, and James, the president, who, with Colleen's suggestion, explore a triad relationship. The BDSM elements felt a bit unrealistic, lacking basic submissive expressions. The middle of the book, with its well-written, steamy scenes, was a highlight. However, the lack of communication about the future of their triad left me uneasy. Kent's sacrificial involvement felt unaddressed until he decided to bow out, creating a void that was eventually filled as they became a triad. The reasoning for their triad felt weak, hinging on James wanting both partners. Despite these qualms, the book made me think, feel, and connect, earning it a solid four stars, with the potential for five if certain aspects were refined. It's a compelling story I'll likely revisit and add to my favorites.

This cover does this book absolutely no justice and almost turned me off reading it until I saw a recommendation post on the Aural Fixation FB page with a different cover. Loved the narration, this was steamy and emotive and made me want to read /listen to more from this author.

I am so conflicted. I loved this story but had a serious problem with the fact that it was about the President of the United States. I know that is what made it work but I would rather have had it been the President of another country. Respect for the office if nothing else. But other than that this was a well thought out, well written tale of love and submission. I love how it shows that submission doesn’t mean you are a weakling. I also love the fact that it involved older characters. All in all a good book if you can get past the fact that POTUS

Perfect Power Dynamic (Some Spoilers Below)

James is the current United States President. One of the most powerful people in the world. He has his beautiful wife Carlene by his side and his best friend Kent as his head of security. But life is far from easy.

While dealing with an international crisis, James is falling apart. He’s barely halfway through his presidential term and his wife is worried he won’t last much longer. After a year of hearing her husband call out for his best friend’s name in his sleep and knowing they have a sexual history, she goes to Kent for help. Carlene propositions Kent to sleep with James to help alleviate his stress. Not an easy task for the ex-seal Dom who has been in love with James for years.

Kent and Carlene work together to help James enjoy his submissive side. But old feelings, complex relationships, and insecurities show their arrangement can’t be a long-term solution. Can it?

This book is a delicious combination of power dynamics I didn’t know I was missing. It’s so hard finding femdom books where the woman doesn’t eventually become the submissive. While there are sharing scenes where she is at the center, it’s never about power. I also loved Kent and Carlene’s relationship throughout the book. Their a sort of enemies to lovers duo who come together to help James with his submissive needs. And James is just the sweetest submissive.

If you’re wanting a good story with MMF, femdom, light BDSM, and older mcs then this is perfect for you!
