DNF @ 34% - I'm really sad that I had to DNF the book (especially after how much I enjoyed book 1), but I just can't force myself to continue on. I didn't find the story very engaging and there were multiple times where I would be daydreaming while I was reading - yikes!

Darker than the last, but still cozy. We get more action in this book if only by a little! There is some court intrigue as well. It's great to see more of the plot shape, but I still feel that the book is overall not super well done for the genre it's trying ro be.

Once again, I really can't stand the way Breen is voiced but that's a narrator problem, not her actual way of speaking as if you were just reading for yourself.

We get a bunch more character development but Breen is also just made far too perfect with every power ever, further pushed than the previous actually.

I just love Keegan and Breen. They so perfectly balance the other out.
Also can say how happy I was for Marco. Omg that part of the story made my heart soar. Cannot wait for the conclusion!
