I enjoyed this book, the beginning of their journey. A past that effects the future. They fall in love and that was the first mistake.

ES diferente a lo que la autora suele escribir pero me tiene totalmente enganchada y quiero saberlo todo.

I hated the heroine so much. I don’t understand any of her life choices.
The story is really all over the place. The prologue and the « now » chapters are not necessary in this installment and make the story confusing as fuck.

And I’m sure
Spoiler the aunt is actually the one who wants Meredith dead

I'm not sure where to start but I couldn't get to this story.
The dialogue was way too cringy for me. Meredith was just... I'm not even sure. It was sad seeing her beg for Michael to be with her. I mean girl, stand up, that man's not that good. I thought it made no sense for him to say in one minute "bye we'll never see each other again" and the next he decides to give Meredith an opportunity just like that? Strange
Honestly, a lot of things in this book are strange
I don't even have words to describe Michael. Just no. At least he warned us at the beginning
Spoiler When it was revealed that Meredith's father was the one who called the hit... eh, I kinda saw it coming, but I don't really care about why he would do such thing

Overall, it really wasn't for me and I'm not going to read the other two books, maybe I'll spoil myself if my curiosity sparks again, but for now, that's it for me

This book was better than I thought it would be and I liked the twists and turns in the story. This is definitely different than most Whitney G books and I'm not sure how I feel about the lack of romance but the storyline was good. I loved her friendship with Gillian and enjoyed the cliffhanger at the end. I will definitely be picking up the other two books when they are available.

The first half of this book was engaging, but it slowly descended into telling and dialogue (most of which was telling, too). What this did have was an interesting plot, which kept me long enough to skim through to the end.

Loved the idea. Lots of potential. I just wished the characters engaged me emotionally so that I could feel their attachment to each other.

I had no idea this was a novella, or at least a book with less pages than I was expecting. The story was interesting but went a bit too fast for me (and I am not even talking about the relationship). I’m not exactly interested in reading the second book, I think, because I don’t feel like I care enough about the characters to want to know what will happen to them.

So I will be moving on to something else.
