I had watched the show and I enjoyed it so much and I was able to relate to it so much.
Even when reading the book the scene when Nick searches up “am I gay?” I had cried so much since I related to it. I would say Nick is my favorite person because I relate to him more than the other characters.
But I love the book so much that I couldn’t put it down and I finished it in one day.

Heartstopper Volume 1 by Alice Oseman is a cute start to the story of Nick and Charlie, two guys figuring out their friendship and feelings for each other in high school. I found it a bit boring at times and not super action-packed—maybe because I usually read more serious stuff and don’t really go for graphic novels. But honestly, it was a nice break from all that.

The story is pretty chill, letting Nick and Charlie’s relationship grow at a natural pace. The art is really soft and expressive, which makes the emotions come through nicely. Oseman does a good job of bringing up important themes like acceptance and friendship without diving too deep into heavy details. Overall, it’s a sweet read if you’re looking for something lighter.

Okay, this was soooo fluffy and heart warming and reminded me of being in high school! I think I found a new comfort book to come back to every time I feel blue and under the weather. It was wholesome, cute, and I'm already starting (and instantly finishing, let's be honest) the next volume! I can't wait to get through all of them to then check out the Netflix adaptation!

Oh crap. I love this story. 😭
I loved how real this story felt. Charlie and Nick are sweet baby angels and I want to give them both the biggest hugs. Being a teenager is really the worst, but at least your friends make it bearable. 💕 I really hope these two guys can make it through all the messiness that exists in their world. And yay for more queer stories! I love the representation the queer youth are getting these days. 🌈
I’m so ready to tear through all available volumes and then binge the show. 🥹
