For the life of me, I could not get myself to start the fourth book.
The story is poorly written, I can barely tell who's talking to who and it's all very cliché.
I thought the show was poorly written and cliché, but the show is actually stunning compared to the books they were based on.

Estuvo bien.

i prefer the first and second book. thou i NEVER was katherine coming, seriously.
i just love damon. and ian somerhalder:) (the show)

the fury was fine, and it gave a bit tension to me. the fourth one was not better than the 3rd book, but it was still okay. i like the fact that elena comes back to life.

matt is such a sweetheart.

I enjoyed this more than the first bind up. I felt we were starting to get into more interesting storylines & delving a tiny bit deeper into the supernatural. Also we were given more character development & got more time with our beloved cast of characters.

I will say I loved reading from Bonnie’s pov & seeing her grow as a character. She is becoming one of my favorite characters in the series.

Is the writing a masterpiece? No. I started reading because I was a fan of the show. Be warned this isn’t like the show for the most part. But I’ve been enjoying the ride with this series & can’t wait to see what happens next

SPOILER ALERT!!!

Since this book is broken up into two books, I'll start with The Fury.

Ok, I have mixed feelings for The Fury. Don't get me wrong, it was a great book, but there was something about it that didn't go well with me. The fact that Elena died kinda confused me because I wasn't really informed until Dark Reunion that she died, which is kinda depressing.

Ok, Dark Reunion. I LOVED the fact that there was a lot of action going on in this portion of the series, but I HATED the fact that Elena didn't show up until like the last 50 or so pages of it. Wasn't the point of this series to tell the story about Elena and Stefan's love and the vampirey stuff that goes along with it? What's the point of reading the last part of the series if the better half of it (Elena) is absent? But there is ONE thing that made it all better towards the end. One word: DAMON. When Damon defended Stefan against Klaus, I almost melted. Who seriously thought that was sexy?? I DID! You know, throughout the whole series, Damon's been portrayed as an evil character/person, when in fact, he isn't. I mean, would an evil person seriously save his brother? But then again there's that thought that he did it for Elena so she wouldn't suffer... I don't know. I don't think Damon is all that bad.
