I’m the type of person that read a book without even reading any synopsis or a review of a book before buying them. And I never ever doubt any of Mitch Albom writings because all his books are dear to me. I didn’t know this one again about a memoir kind of book like Tuesdays with Morrie, and this is about Chika. I bawled my eyes out for almost every chapters of this book. I can feel the loss and the love of it. Yet again, this book centre around this particular disease called DIPG and still there’s no cure for this. The journey on how they did their best to find a cure and let alone slowing the disease and improved Chika life span is basically all about it. But let’s not forget how they become the best parents that they can even for a short amount of time. Rest well Chika.

Such a great book but such a sad story. I cried finishing this book and I’ve never cried from reading a book before. Truly a touching story.

A definite page-turner that tugs at your heart strings like very few other books. Also, an important book to read for all 20-somethings - speaks to all parts of our lives from the personal to the professional. Love Mitch Albom all the more for this beautiful work. Warning, will make you cry!

“The most precious thing you can give someone is your time, Chika, because you can never get it back. When you don’t think about getting it back, you’ve given it in love.”

This book was touching, true, and heartbreaking. I sobbed while turning the last few pages.

Ermm it’s an okay book for me. Will not recommend anyone who is going through/ have a child with terminal illness. It’s depressing.
