This incredible horror book about a school of children who vanish into thin air is disturbing, gruesome, and entertaining from page one to the finish. Can’t wait to read Vol 2

Honestly I was hoping it would be better. The concept is great and they could have done a lot more with it really on and been a bit more realistic, but instead
immediately after the school disappeared, they wrote that the adults lost their freaking minds and tried to kill a couple students and they fought for food even though they had only been there for a few hours. Less than 24 hours had passed and the adult  were starting to go crazy.
and this was a school with hundreds of kids from 1st to 6th grade! They were babies! There's no way they could expect the kids to not freak out and be scared.

I was wary of the art but it turned into a thrilling read pretty quick. I love it.

This book is different from any horror Japanese manga that I have ever read. Vol. 1 is definitely up there with Uzumaki. The art work reminds me of the old Japanese style comics like that of Yoshihiro Tatsumi, but Umezu's work is much more detailed oriented. The fact that the main characters are little 6th graders and under makes this way more intense for me. My only problem is Sho's attitude with his mother escalated way too fast. I basically began reading this not liking him or his mother. There is some unexpected violence, which I did not see coming. I look forward to reading the next book.

The art style is good for its time, but I find the way everyone runs around to be hilarious.

It's a bit silly, but I kinda dig it.

There's a vibe to it...
