I felt like the slang language the main character uses is a bit over the top. I also feel like most of the book is just him doing awful things. I love the second half of the book, though, when he doesn’t get to be an absolute villain all the time. When he is just being his normal awful self, I did not love the book

Hade gett högre betyg om inte för den första tredjedelen av boken som var extremt jobbig att läsa (vilket också är hela meningen men men). Den känns också som att den simplifierar den komplexa sak som är människan på ett sätt som jag inte älskade. Annars: intressant historia, gillar språket som ger stämning (när man väl kom in i den, i början var det asjobbigt att läsa) och ger en en tankeställare kring kriminalpolitik (ish?). Skulle rekommendera, men inte om man är känslig för äckliga saker.

Overall not a bad book, definitely disturbing at times (I don't know what librarian let me check this out as a child because holy cow)

The slang can also be a little off putting and make it a more difficult read

oddly enough my fav part is when Alex is more or less being tortured I think it alone could speak volumes on psych and how society deems certain things as needing of fixing

Secondly when more or less the entire events are shown to be more or less exactly as the government wanted it rather than how those who wanted to "help" Alex wanted
