I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Thank you so much Bailey!

Each Bailey Nicole novel gets better and better. When I heard that THE WEIGHT OF YOUR WISHES was a best friend’s son mm romance?! I could just DIE. I love anything that ~pushes the envelope~

I’m really happy with the fact that there is actually some light daddy kink. Like finally! I feel like most of the books I read stray away from it or use it as a joke. I love it though.

I also enjoyed the slow burn aspect. I thought it was gorgeously done… until it wasn’t. I think the book should’ve been longer because once things start to go down between Hendrix and Grant, the reader is already through the majority of the book and then it just feels like a crash course to the ending. And because of how fast it was, the stakes were never that high. That contradicts how long it took them to get together because regarding that, the stakes should’ve been extremely high. I think that was definitely a miss.

Regardless, I still had such a blast reading THE WEIGHT OF YOUR WISHES and I love seeing Bailey grow and evolve.

✨”I’m having a hard time letting go of this feeling—this feeling that makes me lose all semblance of sanity. You make me want to say fuck everything, so long as I can have this—have you.”✨

THE WEIGHT OF YOUR WISHES
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
REVIEW: Another great MM read by Bailey Nicole. I was so excited for this because I have a major soft spot for age gap, make it MM & I’m ready to rideee!!! This was definitely a character driven story & as Bailey has proven in the past, as long as the characters are enticing enough you don’t need an over complicated plot to want to keep reading. Most character driven stories tend to have an abundance of smut & more often than not border on being considered erotica. I think Bailey did an excellent job of balancing this. The smut was there (& hot af, like I’m still thinking about Hendrix’s thong & Grant growling “baby boy”) but it wasn’t constantly shoved in your face in place of actually building the relationship. Grant & Hendrix made my whole body warm, like a drink of tea in the dead of winter. They were cozy & soft & I loved both so much. I definitely wished this was longer as I feel like we didn’t get to become lost in everything that is Grant & Hendrix’s love story. I actually wished we had more flashbacks to really establish the relationship between these two as pseudo uncle & nephew before their relationship changed into more. If you’re looking for a heartfelt MM, mother’s best friend, love story definitely snatch this one up. Preferably with a beer & summer storm ⛈

This was barely a forbidden romance and it was so short it kinda felt incomplete??

I had been anticipating reading this book since the day I got to know about it and since the day I read the blurb. Trust me when I say that this book didn't disappoint me. This is a best friend's son story and is forbidden plus it has the age gap trope and is an MM romance which should be read by mature audiences only. PLEASE CHECK THE TW/CW BEFORE READING THIS BOOK. Onto the story we go...

Grant Ledger, one of the MMCs, also the childhood best friend of Cynthia Davis(who was also his ex) is gonna fall in love with Cynthia's son, Hendrix (MMC). -- this is basically the story and I literally did not put any emotions into this because if I put that here then what will you guys read, huh..anyways...here we go

Grant is the muse who turned Hendrix a bisexual person✨️

This was a bit different than Bailey's other books - but just as amazing. They brought a different type of relationship to the table. One that is formed out of a life long love. That love is different between Hendrix and Grant though. We get to see the realizations, the growth, the passion.
Grant wants to be someone that Hendrix can look up to but he views himself as less than. He doesn't realize how much he gives to Hendrix simply by existing.
Hendrix wants nothing more than to be seen. His mother doesn't see him, only Grant - just not in the way he wants.
Yet both of them fight this tug of war.
It's emotional, it's heartfelt, it's sexy as all.
Bailey was able to bring this amazing story that you just devour. While also showing that you don't have to fear the unknown and that love will prevail.

This was so good! I haven’t been reading as much forbidden romance as I used too and I honestly miss it so much! This was such a treat.

I liked both of the main characters. I’m a sucker for a big, burly, grump with a heart of gold. And Hendrix was a sweetheart.

The story was good. I loved the tension. My only thing is that the story wrapped up a little too easily. It didn’t feel so forbidden in a sense, but I still enjoyed my time reading the book! I’d read more by this author.

I adored this story. Grant and Hendrix's story, while not outright taboo (more like unconventional with the 20-year age gap/Son of a best friend-former lover), was beautifully written. I truly enjoyed it, and I love how Bailey is able to write such emotional moments and scenes that really draw you in. Grant finds in Hendrix someone who loves him unconditionally. Hendrix finds someone who places him first and loves him fiercely as he deserves. My heart went out to both of them, and so happy they found each other. I love the bi-discovery as Grant slowly placed the pieces together. It was sexy and hot while being tender and romantic as well. Bailey has a knack for writing shitty parents, though. Overall enjoyed it and can not wait for more works from this author.
