How can an author make you love and hate a character ?! Well Taylor Jenkins Ried did just that with Carrie Soto! There were moments where I loved Carrie and there were also many moments where I could not stand her! This just made me enjoy the book even more!!
I learned a little bit about tennis, competition , relationships and may have cried along the way 🥰ðŸ˜
Another solid read by TJR!!
Now I need to read through her backlist of books 📚

Another Taylor Jenkins-Reid book, another book that can’t be put down. I’d describe a lot of her work as ‘sleeper’ books’. I was unsure when I first started reading (partly because I know nothing about tennis), but once I hit the midpoint I couldn’t stop reading until it was done.
There is something so unique about how this author can bring so much to stories I wouldn’t have blinked twice at. A really good read - perfect for the summer!

This book was good, locale and exciting but it just didn’t feel like something TJR would write. I loved the cameo of DJATS though! The death scene felt very flat, and very un-tjr to me. it wasn’t drawn out like the death in her other books. .
Moderate: Chronic illness, Death, and Toxic relationship
Minor: Bullying and Death of parent
