Have you ever read a book where the description gives away the whole plot? This is one of those books. I knew how it would end before I even started reading it.

This book reads like a magazine article from Take a Break or Woman's Weekly. You end up feeling intensely irritated with the author for being so incredibly thick and naive to not realise the true villian behind all the drama.

Really liked this book.

I figured out who was behind all the incidents about half way through but then the twists made me think otherwise so the ending was both a surprise & a yes I knew it was them.

A well written book that I found hard to put down & would recommend to all who like a gripping real life story.

This book was quite long-winded, but worth the read. The story, although being the sort of thing you'd expect to read in Take A Break magazine, was expressed well, and kept up the suspense until you finally read the revelations of what actually happened. The outcome was predictable, but the journey of woven deceit and the unravelling of the events, bit by bit, helps you understand how confused the whole situation became. I don't blame the mother - she was drawn into the whole saga for 14 years... Yes, she was gullible, and it is frustrating that she didn't see who the perpetrator was through various evident clues... but it's easy for us to judge on the outset. I quote from the book "It's easy to be wise after the event, and it's easy to jump to conclusions simply because there isn't any other obvious explanation for something." This book was an easy read - I finished it within 2 days, and although some things were repeated a bit too often, the story was well executed. A brave memoir.

uma história marcante... a prova de que muitas vezes não vemos aquilo que está mesmo diante dos nossos olhos!
