4 stars.
Well loved the concept of Moon and 37. (Remembered hitch hiker's guide to the galaxy - 42)
Also Joe's character was written amazingly.

I actually finished this book awhile ago and apparently I forgot to mark it as read. This was a decent story in the Sigma Force Universe. Some of these have been better than others this one is sort of in the middle.

Decent book with some interesting ideas presented. I have some major issues with how the author ended the story. They build up a long and complicated story, and the ending just falls flat. It is like he ran out of time and just wrapped it up. I also don't like how he basically destroys the major discovery. I honestly don't think the people that built that place would trigger it to self-destruct for any reason. Why would they, what do they have to gain by destroying all their hard work? He doesn't explain anything. He doesn't explain who they really were, what their purposes were, and doesn't explain the whole 'moon' thing. I don't like authors that do that. It is sloppy and unprofessional. He did his research for the book but failed as an author in failing to provide a sufficiently decent ending to the story.

I'm in my Da Vinci Code era and cannot be stopped. Old-timey Jesuit priests, numerology, Atlantis, espionage, genetic modification – take your pick from a smorgasbord of conspiracy-adjacent topics.
I did learn one fun fact, which was Neil Armstrong's lesser-known expedition to investigate claims by Erich von Daniken (originator of the Ancient Aliens theory and all that nonsense) of otherworldly artifacts in the Ecuadorian Amazon. I guess the truth is just as strange as fiction.

Badly done for a Sigma Force book. Usually there’s a connection between the history and action teams - here they were completely unconnected. And the moon stuff and numerology? Way too psycho.

Great book. Difficult to listen at times and a wee happy cry at the end. Well worth reading.

one of my favorite series; the author is like Dan Brown, but more instense and elevated.
