I thought this was a really cute sports rom com! I usually don't care for sport romances but this one was sweet and had me laughing out loud several times.
it was a quick read that is definitely helping fight off the reading slump that I could feel coming on, so I will definitely be checking out more of this author's books! I didn't love the way it was written or the pacing but I definitely recommend if you're in the mood for a quick read in between the other books you are in the midst of or just finishing.

Brooks Elliott is traded drop his home team in New York to the Fireballs, the last-places team in the league. He’s not happy about it. He’s maintained his virginity for 30 years for good luck, but now he’s ready to give it up because he has nothing to lose.

Mackenzie is the Fireballs’ biggest, most superstitious fan. She can’t let him lose his virginity. But she’s attracted To him and he’s finding that he likes her kind of crazy.

The side characters are fun. Brooks is a sweet dog daddy with and adorable cavapoo reject with a collar that first spews obscenities and then affirmations. It’s hilarious. Mackenzie has two drag queen dads who are real characters, but not because they’re drag queens. We get to see Tripp, Lila, Sarah, and Beck and hear from Parker, Knox, Eloise and Rhett. It’s all good fun.

The first epilogue is a perfect. The second is touching.

Oh, and Griffin Forsyth on the cover is HOT.

If you are looking for a light rom com, this book is for you! I feel like if I would have read more of the series before I would have liked this one more. I really just couldn't get into all of the characters and it got a bit confusing. Brooks was a good character but Mackenzie was definitely something else. I feel like if I would have met her before this book, I might have liked her more. If you know me, you know I love a good celibate hero, so I stuck it out.
