This was a really fun read! It echoes that lovely closed circle style of Agatha Christie. I love that Beaton also calls out the similarity and has Hamish use the plot, then has him be wrong. I also liked how we got to know a little more about Hamish's family.

Another one I couldn’t solve before the end. I swear on all that’s holy if Hamish doesn’t find a love interest I’m going to scream. I pray it won’t be with Pricilla. I just do not like her, but every time he meets someone there is something that gets in the way and he’s back to being single. Ugh!!

Sat and read this through in a day. I thought I had real almost all of the Hamish books except the latest. I was wrong - I hadn't read this one....
