I've been a fan of Kennedy Fox for a while now, and I was never disappointed. And with The Best of Us, the second instalment in the Love in Isolation Series, they've done it again.

It's an amazing enemies-to-lovers read about Kendall and Ryan. Both of them have known each other all their life, as Kendall is his sister's best friend and was always around. Ryan, who wants nothing to do with the world of the rich and famous and loves his work as a doctor (maybe a little too much) and Kendall seems to be the total opposite. But when both of them are snowed in, she finally gets the chance to prove him wrong. And maybe to find a way to his heart.

The story takes on a while after where we are right now, so it definitely hit close to home. I do understand it's important to make the best out of things and to get a different perspective. For me, literature is sometimes a way to escape, and I honestly still don't know how to feel about it. It is definitely well-written and handled respectfully that it's still a great read.

The characters are lovely, the writing is great, and fans of the author duo will love this one just as much as past books.

(I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review).

This one was good. I liked Ryan and Kendall. Their feelings flipped pretty quick, but it was still a good book and I enjoyed reading it.

Enemies to lovers
Best friends brother

An enjoyable weekend read.
Ryan & Kendall have known each other for years since Cami, Ryan's sister, is Kendall's best friend. They've secretly crushed on each other for a long time but haven't acted on it until they get stuck together in a snow storm in Ryan's family cabin while getting it ready for Cami's honeymoon.

Seeing them open up to each other and really get to know each other is the best part of the story. And their chemistry is off the charts, they can't keep their hands off each other!

I wish they both weren't so flaky with each other once they got back to the city, but the authors did a good job of getting them to find their way back to each other.

Audio review:
Oh, how I have been waiting for this story!
It was so worth it.
Kendall and Ryan were explosive.
Their chemistry, their want, their need and their banter had me absolutely riveted.
I didn’t want it to end!
Tor and Emma did an amazing job with narration.

I’ve been excited for Kendall and Ryan’s story since I finished The Two of Us. I love the progression of their relationship throughout the book. They went from hating each other but that changed as they got to know each other and as learned new things about themselves, they realized how wrong they were about one another. Emma Wilder is absolutely amazing and I love her delivery of Kendall. Tor Thom is fairly new to me but I really enjoy his narration. If you are looking for a red-hot steamy listen I really recommend this one.
