Oikein mainio! Tämä oli toinen lukemani Wattersonin sarjis, jossa hän kommentoi ja arvioi omia piirroksiaan vuosien varrelta. Se toi paljon uutta ymmärrystä sarjakuvien tekemiseen yleisesti, mutta myös yksittäisiä strippejä katsoi selitysten avulla aivan uudenlaisella silmällä. Huomasin, että värillisiä strippejä oli huomattavasti helpompaa lukea kuin noita alkuperäisiä mustavalkoisia piirroksia.

In one of the stories Calvin remarks that, "Someday I'll write my own philosophy book."
It's safe to say that within this book are some of the most profound, funny and perfect Sunday comic panels around. The magic of Calvin and Hobbes is greatly demonstrated and the side notes and introduction from Bill Waterson add to the layers of intelligence and maturity only something as brilliant as this could have. Well done sir.

I love Sunday comics, and seeing the explanations for some of these was interesting (seeing the very last one was a little sad, though).

Este fantástico volumen aborda el proceso creativo de Bill Watterson para conseguir que tanto Calvin como Hobbes fueran personajes queridísimos por todos. Un paseo interesante en cuanto a ilustración, distribución de viñetas e ideas fantásticas que compartir. Sin duda, imprescindible para los amantes de las historias gráficas.
