I liked it, it was a very quick, easy read. Good pastime, good plot, A good non-committal book to have in the background, easy to follow along to. I'm sad too for her loss. I don't know if I can say that the main character has a well written personality, though I don't mean this in a she's a terrible character, just that what are her personality traits? she's just a protagonist, I couldn't describe her bc she's non descript? Maybe determined is the only adjective I have for her.

A great young adult fantasy mystery. Had me guessing and thinking I knew all the answers. 
Great representations of a range of LGBTQIA characters. 
Cringed at a few HP references but they are minimal and quite late in to the book. 
I liked the pop cultural references and the urban fantasy elements.

I really like the idea of a gay, witchy modern day YA novel. This one was okay. I enjoyed the representation of lesbian, bisexual and trans persons.

I don’t think I would read the sequel as this just fell a little flat as far as how the story was told. I can’t quite place my finger on it. I imagine others would enjoy it.
