I listened to the audio book and LET ME PREACH, Lauren’s reading of this story is just perfect.... in all her perfection she made me laugh and cry and need to go re-binge both Gilmore Girls and Parenthood stat!
This sat on my “to read” list for wayyyyyy to long and when it won a best of 2017 award I freaked and made the 100% correct decision to listen immediately! WORTH IT
This book is about so much more than Gilmore girls or Parenthood. It’s an inspiring story, where perseverance and hard work pay off. I left smiling, and wistful, I look forward to hearing all the stories Lauren is willing to bestow on my unworthy ears 🙌🏼

I really like this actress, but I have to admit I had not ever watched Gilmore Girls so I felt very left out while listening to this book. It is a short and very fun, down to earth memoir.

Cute and light read. Made me marginally less bitter about the GG Year in the Life.

Awesome read: funny, quirky and smart writing. If you’re a fan of Lauren’s or a fan of Gilmore Girls; you’ll love this book.
As an aspiring writer, this book also spoke to me with its valuable nuggets of advice; specially the Kitchen Timer method.
All in all a delectable, light, wonderfully human, easy read that feels like you got to sit and babble away at lightning speed over coffee with your longtime bestie, Lorelai Gilmore.

I truly enjoyed reading this book. It was fresh, real, and very funny. If you haven't watched Gilmore Girls, Parenthood, and Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life definitely watch those first and then read this book. Lauren Graham is very entertaining not only as an actor, but also as it turns out, as a writer!

Lauren Graham narrating the book was everything I hoped. I found inspiration as a writer to dive deeper into my stories and to lighten up. Best enjoyed with a giant cup of coffee.

I loved this book. It was witty, and I felt like I was having a casual visit with the actor.
I enjoyed the little insights into her life, both before acting and after. I feel like she would be relatable if I met her. That is the key to a great book on someone's life, where you feel like you would enjoy meeting them. She is a talented writer, and there was some good writing advice in there as well.
