Phew what an amazing book. I stopped listening for ages as I couldn’t get into it but tried again and am glad I did. Very complex but very good thriller

this was ok but i wasn’t particularly invested or interested. the first chapter made this seem a whole lot more interesting than it actually was but it sort of just fizzled out the longer it went on

Thriller. Slow start. Very strange. Children's mother killed. Father left lived on his own. Eldest brother was Goldilocks thief. Mystery of who killed mother solved in the end. Didn't like the style.

I am definitely in the minority on this book, at least among my fellow friends and reviewers, that I found this book okay. I listened to this one on audio and it was a bit slower paced for me and I found my mind wandering at times. I would read some other reviews on Goodreads as I was just lukewarm to this novel. I did love Bauer's [b:Rubbernecker|16071656|Rubbernecker|Belinda Bauer|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1357425539s/16071656.jpg|21865648] which I also listened to on audio and am absorbed in the story.

I quite enjoyed this one. It was well paced, i liked and hated the characters as I was meant to, and the plot kept me wanting to read more. It was all easy read - and that's not meant in a detrimental way - and I'm happy that I spent my time on it. I'll check out more by this author.
