I'm kinda sorry to say this because the premise intrigued me infinitely, but this book was much more dull than I thought it would be.
The characters were either hateful or stupid - most of the time both, and not even in the enjoyable way.
The two main characters, Louise and Caz seem to only be able to make bad decisions and they act pretty immature and selfish for grown up women who also happen to have children and a household to take care of.
There also are a lot of scenes that make little sense or which only purpose is to fill the pages with an anticlimactic pile of infos and dialogues the reader doesn't exactly need.
Overall it wasn't a bad book, but I've definitely read better.
And, to be honest, I don't know if fact that I was able to guess most of the main twists but couldn't by the love of God comprehend half the motivations that pushed the characters to act the way they did, is to be seen in this book's favor or the opposite.

Couldn’t get into it. A lot of characters introduced early. I may go back to it.

Loved it. Very quick audiobook listen. I was triggered by the cheating husband who was obviously having his cake and eating it too. And then some. I kept wanting to tell the wife and ex wife to stop going at each others throats and instead go after the husband. He was so pompous, narcissistic, and in my mind belittling. Made me angry that the current wife put up with it but her past damage was a heavy cloud following her. In the end, he eventually got what he deserved. It was satisfying. And the mom.. I did not expect her to do what she did. A mothers love is powerful.
