ANOTHER great book in a great series. I was really surprised by how speedily everything moved in this book. I know that in the show things move at a much slower pace than the comics but I was still kind of taken aback by just how quick the plot progressed in this one. I loved the character development and some of the plot points in certain arcs. I'm really enjoying seeing the difference between the show and the comic. I can see why so many people love this comic series because it is just so amazing. I love how dark it is at times and how it is slightly more violent and stuff than the show. Definitely keen to continue reading.

*slow claps* What a speech!

Rick is kind of losing his mind but also seems like the least naive person in the group. It's too bad they didn't run into a therapist on their way to the prison, because they really need one.

Also, The Walking Dead should change it's name to The Walking Sexually Repressed.

A kiss, Rick. It was a kiss. Everyone wants that Tiny Rick.

I just don't know and I can't help myself. It's not that I like the story, but it's not that I dislike it either. I'm not really drawn to it and at the same time I just can't stop reading it. What is it with me and these comic books?! I wonder if it is just The Walking Dead or if every comic is gonna have this effect on me. I guess I have to try that out.

I'm kinda liking the story more now I've read the second book. The characters are getting a bit deeper, they're not as shallow any more. And while that is a good thing, it does make me dislike quite a few of them. Lori or example. I just hate her. She is shallow, stupid, can't make any good decisions and she just seems to think she's absolutely perfect herself.

The rest of the women aren't a lot better actually. I mean, I have high hopes for Michonne and Maggie isn't that bad.. but the rest of them. They are just sitting there waiting to be rescued like a damsel in distress or.. well.. die.
But maybe I'm wrong! I guess I'll find out soon, I already started at book three.

It's good, but not amazing - this group of stories starts to dive down a bit more into the insanity that the group struggles with.

I just told my partner I was no longer going to read the rest to him and would read them on my own and his reply was "we'll see"... lol I think not. I'm never reading one of these aloud again, my throat is killing me lol.

Anyway, I hate Lori even more, everyone's going crazy and this one had better action than the first. There's still lots of sex and people are all still being dickheads to each other and honestly, it all kinda felt pretty believable now that the characters have developed a bit and I know them better.

The writers for the TV show deserve a round of applause. They improved the story line, characters, and relationships in the graphic novels. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the comics were written because it gave the writers of the show an outline to work with. However, I feel like this is an average series with mediocre writing. Entertaining enough, but nothing special. (Although to be fair the writing was better in this volume, even if the story itself was rather boring during the latter half of the volume.)

The only reason I'm still reading this series is because I want to see how it diverges from the show. So far everything the show has done differently is just flat out better. I've preferred the characters they've added to the show over the ones they decided to leave out and preferred the added events in show to the events in the comics.

Still annoyed at how the women in the comics are pretty much just there to fulfill different adolescent schoolboy's fantasies. None of the women have an authentic voice. They seem to be mere props to move the storyline along rather than unique individuals with desires, feelings, and motives of their own. I read a lot of science fiction, so I'm used to this but it's still annoying.
