While I was familiar with the Harlan Coben brand, I had yet to read the author, until I read Stephen King's, "The Outsider," in which story Coben figures prominently. After finishing the King book, I headed to my local library and grabbed a Harlan Coben book at random, to check out. This book was just my cup of tea -- a gripping thriller laced with humor and snappy patter, and, as King mentions in his own story, no gratuitous salty language, which is the lazy author's way of attempting realistic conversation and characterization.

The plotting was tight and the pacing was quick, which kept the pages turning to the very end. I look forward to reading other books by Harlan Coben.

Fun fact: I really don't give 5* ratings lightly. The more I read, the more it takes to shock me, make me cry or impress me. But I've been thinking about this review and I cannot think of a single reason to mark this book down from 5*.

The plot was intricate, fast-paced and genuinely compelling. As always with this series, the characters were lovable and engaging, and I genuinely was shocked and impressed by the end. As I frantically raced toward the end, I was also hoping that the end wouldn't come because I wasn't ready for it to be over.

I am so glad that I've not yet read the whole series of Bolitar books yet, because I have a serious catch-up to look forward to. Really enjoyed this book, and it is totally worth a read.
