It good. The illustrations were cool. I needed to write a review but I literally have nothing to say so this is it.

The Diary of Darth Maul, and Angry One.
* * * * * * *
This story was a good one.
We get into Darth Maul head, learn his reasons. Oh, it's a dark place in there.
What was a bit off for me is that the Maul's dialog was so repetitive, he sounded like a machine. But I guess, it's the way he is. Focused on anger and revenge, crashes the obstacles, fears only his Master.
The art is simply beautiful, I stopped to stare. Another awesome illustrator - Luke Ross - to the favourites list.
And a story is a glimpse, but an important one. I liked learning more about Maul's character and bit of history.
Continuing my journey with The Prequels.

Maul, Sidious, Grievous, Dooku, and Mother Talzin all in one? Very nice.

It was fine. Cool to have another arc of Clone Wars, kind of. Read this so that I would have context when listening to A More Civilized Age

Another solid work in the Star Wars universe. Its an adaptation of excess story lines from the Clone Wars so it was always going to be good quality (mainly because of Filoni doing what he does best) but this exceeded my expectations - especially compared to Bunn's Darth Maul comic series.

The storyline is great, the writing is alright, and the illustrations look good also. But what this does best is fill in on some more lore during the clone wars surrounding Maul, the Nightsisters, and the Sith. It really further fleshes out Maul's rivalry with Palpatine after the death of Osage. My only complaint is they didnt quite capture Maul's fear of Palpatine, which they did so perfevtly in the Clone Wars TV series.

Overall great read for Star Wars prequel era fans and decent for other Star Wars lovers

For what it was, it was alright. I get that with the prequels try to fill in the gaps and give more backstory to underused and new characters. With Maul, we didn’t know much about him before Episode 1. Honestly, we still don’t. This was a decent attempt at bringing in some backstory and showcase one of the most misused characters in the Star Wars universe.

Darth Maul is such a dynamic character, much more than we knew and saw from Episode 1. This addition to his folklore cements how much anger and resentment he truly has for Darth Sidious.

This story left me wanting more. I wanted to see how much more destruction Maul could cause, chaos he could stir.
