I have really enjoyed this book even through i have not read the previous books in the series, you can certainly read it as a stand alone.

Both Sarah and Ian were friends college and made a pact that if they were still single when they are 30 they would marry each other. On Sarah's thirtieth birthday she is single and having a small part with her close friends she texts Ian only to have a surprise. Instead of being in New York he in only 10 minutes away and turns up at her door.

Both come from broken homes, but after the death of his brother, Ian has hardened his heart and feels he cannot love in the way most people do.

After Ian introduces a contact marriage, where the only thing missing is the love aspect they embarg on a small trial period before they decide to tie the knot. Friendships deepen and we see more of the Ian he thinks is not there until Sarah drops a bomb.

We get a happy ending and good friendships along with good supportive characters. I really enjoyed this book.

This was okay for me. The writing flowed well, although at the beginning of the story it was a little confusing. I haven't read any of the other books in this series, and there were a lot of names and situations thrown around that I just didn't get. Ian and Sarah reconnect after 10 years and after that, the relationship between them progresses quickly. They had great chemistry though. I did get tired of Ian's "I can't do a relationship". I wanted to smack him a couple of different times. I felt like his turn around happened rather suddenly, and I would have liked for him not to have held on to that belief for the whole book. The ending was sweet, and of course they got their HEA. Although this was a first for me from this author, I will be giving her another read.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

An emotionally frozen man shows up on his college besties door on her 30th birthday to complete a marriage pact they made years ago.

While they decide to have a business marriage their chemistry is off the charts. The sexy times burns the pages! And you know it will turn to love.

This was a quick fun read and makes me want to read the others in the series.

This was such a cute story, it was fast paced but it didn’t take away from the storyline. Sarah turns 30 and doesn’t have the life she expected to and she recalls a pact her and her old college friend Ian had made to each other. We get to see if an emotionally stunted Ian can make things work with the woman who was his best friend in a mutually business like marriage. It was cute and I loved the job Sarah had, the storyline with Shane, and of course Junie.

The Last gave me so many feels and it had me hooked throughout. Not to mention it was quirky, entertaining, sexy and fun! Plus, it was full of great characters, including the wonderful Junie and I couldn't help but have a big smile on my face by the end.

Would happily recommend.

Such an amazing read!!!

The book is told in Sarah and Ian's alternating POV and can be read as a standalone. Sarah and Ian were good friends in college and drifted apart after a tragedy but tried to stay connected via social media. There is a surprise encounter that puts the past back into motion. It was really just a feel good book. A bit of quirky, lots of steamy and a good bit of funny. I love all of the books in this series, but I honestly think this one is my favorite.

The Last is another HEA story by Tawna Fenske that will give you all the feels.
This isn’t a typical friends to lovers story. Its has steamy chemistry and a lesson on how you can only lie to yourself for so long.

Buckle up- you’re in for some Goodwill steals, cat butts, steamroom sex, and lots of laughs!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The pacing felt a little off to me, particularly at the beginning and I would have loved more backstory for the couple's 10-year friendship. Ian was not my favorite leading man- melodramatic and too self-pitying, in my opinion.
