I usually read this book for others, either my students or my children .. or both and never for myself. I usually do not add picture books to my read list but this year I will be sitting down to Enjoy some classics for myself.

I love this book. It is by far my favorite story and the outcome always makes my heart melt. I love that from the start, the Grinch just really wants to take part but the assumption surrounding him can be felt. The supposed nice people are really the ones who are judging and mean, self consumed and altogether unwelcoming to someone different from them. All it took is one little kind heart to change how a person feels. Remember kindness always first.

I read this over Christmas to my son. Since he was only three-months-old at the time it went over his head a bit, but I remembered how much I love Dr. Suess when I was reading it. So fun!

I felt bad for the poor Grinch. Even though he tried to ruin Christmas for everyone else he was obviously lonely and acting out.

I thought it was cute how he tried to dress the dog, Max up like a reindeer. I would have loved to see pictures of that! Sadly I listened to the audio so I didn't see any of the pictures. :/

I'm proud of the Whos for not letting the evil plan of the Grinch's get them down. They took the holiday at it's core and celebrated family rather than selfishness and greed. :)

This is one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books. I love it so much. It makes me laugh every time. I find the pictures of the Grinch hilarious. I love the rhymes in the book. This is Dr. Seuss at his absolute best.

Growing older, I always wanted to have a Dr Seuss book of my own. Even though I know a lot of people who hate The Grinch movies, I simply love it. And the illustrations in this edition are just gorgeous. It's a lovely short read for the Christmas season, and will definitely always be one of my favourite Dr Seuss' books.
