Despite the fact that this was extremely fast paced and we kept skipping to weeks or months later in the book I freaking loved it I was so invested in the characters and story that I had a great time reading it, was this book the best written? Absolutely not but the writing is super easy to read so I read this pretty fast

I knew this book seemed familiar. It was roughly like the Prince and me. Which I loved that movie so it’s no wonder I adored this book. I will say the beginning was a little slow for me. But once we get to school, I could not put it down.
Vivienne is the Crown Princess of Marcedenia. She has to take the throne sooner than she thought due to her father’s illness. She is an only child and there is a marriage clause stating she must be married before she takes the throne. She is allowed one semester at a university abroad to experience ‘normalcy’
Jace Dawson is the big man on campus. The guy who all the dudes wanna be and the girls wanna be with. He is the football star. QB1. Best in the land. Predicted to be a draft pick of #1.
Their story is tumultuous. I loved it and hated some parts. Like I just wanted to shake them and have them use their words. I will say it was a little extreme, in my opinion, that he gave up EVERYTHING and didn’t get to play a few seasons as a professional athlete. I get why but at the same time it was HIS DREAM. That was my only bone to pick. Other than that it was a cute remake to the Prince and me.

DNF at 60% - I couldn't take it anymore.
Sometimes the worst thing we can do is read a book by an author and think "omg I liked this, I will read another one". Sometimes we are set for disappointment, which was the case with this book. I came after reading "Six summers to Fall" and well... I liked the premise, but didn't like the delivery. Viviene is like the most annoying character in the world and for someone who is about to turn queen, is very immature. I get that she is a teenager and being immature is part of that ahah but she really had this "I like to drink whiskey like I am mature and because I am different from all the others" vibe. And the cliché with Jace being all smug - like ALL the football players - enough is enough. We all love clichés, but when they are well written...
I found myself skipping a lot of pages, because I simply was bored and ultimately I just gave up all together. Some things were not that bad, that's why I gave two stars.
