The premise of this book was fascinating and has the potential to be great once the series is finished. The story was a bit too fast-paced for my liking so the timeline was unclear. The names of some of the characters were also very similar so it was difficult to differentiate between Hailey and Hallie. However, the budding romances were sweet, and like the story, have the potential to be great. The characters were well done and the dynamics between the group were spot on. There were also some good pop-culture references. While the book wasn't as polished as it could have been, this was a good starting point for a debut novel.

There was a lot of italics, which made them meaningless. The character descriptions, he was lean with this color eyes copy and paste for every single character. When referring to another member of the six we get their name and their “name” we get it, they are the gods. Speaking of names they are all basic sounding names with two of them having nearly identical names (Hallie and Hailey). These along with mediocre writing led to me DNFing at 50 pages.
