A perfect ending if you ask me, only needed more Rouche.

The whole series is a true sitcom of crime novels. Like merging "MarĂa la del Barrio", "Mindhunter", and "Seinfeld". Such ridiculous temperaments, implausible reality, and twisty-turnseys. No one is safe from being ambiguously immoral. The investigation itself seemed to be an afterthought, a little too convenient and safe, stakes were on the key relationship without the key relationship actually having enough pagetime to build to a satisfying conclusion. Baxter's volatility used to have consistency, now it was truly a little mindless. Not as strong as "Hangman". I was obsessed anyway.

4.5 rounded up to 5 stars, the only reason it did not get a 5 star is the ending felt super rushed. I feel it could've been left out all together tbh.

I cannot wait to read more of Daniel Cole's books though!

Great conclusion to this 3 part saga, I enjoyed these books. I was nervous about reading a series just in case I didn't like them and would have to force myself to read the remaining books. Luckily, it wasn't the case.

Clever! Clever! Clever!
Gripping is an understatement for this un-put-down-able final book in the trilogy. And what an ending!
Loved it!

Wished they had more on Edmunds and Tia, and also what happened with Thomas cause Baxter really wasted his time :/
