I really love this series. Unfortunately I didn't really enjoy this book. It took me a while to get into it and it seemed to drag along. I missed all the usually characters and I hated this town Kinsey was working in. Though I think it was a good, if very confusing, mystery. I just don't think this was on of the best in this series. I think if it was by another author I may have given it even less stars.

I found this installment a little difficult to focus on. Maybe I've just had a lot to think about lately, but since there's no way of factoring that out, Grafton has to take a share of the blame too.

I really want to give this 3.5 stars--I enjoyed it, and it was really well-paced until the end. Then, a bunch of things sort of fell out and were never really resolved. But a good entry in this series.

I liked that most of the book took Kinsey out of Santa Teresa. I always root for more Henry, but the additional characters in this book were good and the mystery interesting.

in which kinsey travels to the hick town of nota lake to find out why selma newquist's husband tom was so upset before he died. kinsey's fingers get dislocated, which is disgusting. seems that her hair has gone back to it's moplike state.
