i honestly have no clue how to rate/review this. objectively it is not very well written and most of the characters are hilariously shallow but do i care? i don’t think i do!

as far as the main three go jennifer was perfectly fine but barely worth noting at the end of the day, anne is my angel i just want to hug her and protect her from men forever, and neely evoked such a visceral hatred in me that at one point towards the end of the book i screamed (pardon my french) “FUCKING BITCH” into my empty home.

certainly not the feminist manifesto and certainly not a life changing think piece but very entertaining.

Fun to read but more shallow than it means to be.

Esse livro me destruiu...

Excelente livro, me despedaçou e fez meu coração e alma doerem.

It really took me a year to finish this book only because I actually SUCK at reading, but omg. This was such an enjoyable and fun read. This was totally the Gossip Girl of the 60s mixed with some Gatsby vibes, which I loved. The ending really made me think about how even when we think we finally have everything we want, we can still be extremely unhappy. Overall, loved this.

I think it was a good book. Portrayed the relationships and the intricacies of stardom in an interesting way. I just need to write a fanfiction with an alternate ending. But I appreciate that the ending is realistic. I liked it, although obviously it's a book from the 60s, there's gonna be a few things that aren't acceptable now. But yeah I liked it.
